The Center for the Arts is proud to announce that Ignacio Alperin Bruvera will be on display March 8 - April 29!

About the Artist:

Ignacio Alperin Bruvera was born in Argentina, grew up in Australia, and lived and traveled throughout Europe, America and South East Asia. Ignacio was influenced at an early age by masters like Kandinsky, Picasso, Pollock, Van Koenig, and Rauschenberg. This influence can be detected in his oeuvre through his use of vivid colors and somewhat abstract painting style.

Ignacio Alperin: Visual Jazz
Jazz genre inspires and formulates each of the canvases created by Buenos Aires artist Ignacio Alperin Bruvera. His approach to artmaking is based on his synesthesia, a unique ability to “see sounds”. Just as there is beauty and complexity to jazz, the same qualities spill out from this artist onto canvas. His brilliantly-colored abstracts reflect resonating movement, and compacted intensity with natural soft counter balance.

In addition to the exhibit, the Center for the Arts is hosting a Meet the Artist event on April 29, 4-6 pm in the Caton Merchant Gallery. Ignacio will personally explain his painting technique and how the qualities of jazz influence his style as an artist. This is an excellent opportunity for all young artists, emerging artists, and those who are still finding their way in the world of art.
