Get a head start on your next audition with this class on “need-to-know” basics. What is expected? How should you prepare? Learn about building a resume, delivering a monologue, or singing a few bars from your favorite song. Practice cold readings from the script to improve your self-confidence. This class is a must for those who want to try out for their school musical or for next season at Pied Piper Theatre.  For those with audition experience, brush up on your audition skills and improve your chances for getting that “dream role.”

(5 Weeks)  Feb. 24 - March 23
Mon. 6pm - 8pm

Instructor: Lee Darter

This class will provide introduction to the Zentangle method of meditative structured drawing. Class will cover the history, applications, and steps to create original Zentangled squares, called “tiles.” All art levels are invited and no artistic experience is needed, just a willingness to try something new. Students should bring their own sketchbook from home. Supply kit covered by supply fee will be sent home with student on the last class day. Improve your fundamental drawing skills with a wide array of lessons which will include the use of traditional art mediums (pencil, marker, pastels, etc.) and technology (drawing software, tablets.) Learn to recognize and proportionally represent edges, shapes, negative space, line, and shadow. Class may be taken multiple times; lessons will vary from session to session. Course fee includes $20.00 supply fee.

Are you looking forward to a very special event? This class will add polish to your cherished moments on the dance floor and get you ready to shine and have fun. The perfect class for busy engaged couples, proud parents, members of the wedding party, or happy guests…in seven sessions you will gain grace and confidence while learning dance steps both romantic and joyful. This is your chance to practice popular dances that will make lifetime memories. We will even finish up with a few line dances to get you ready to celebrate with style!

Improve flexibility, focus, and self-expression through meditative creative movement. We will warm-up, stretch, and transition to simple dance motions designed to support fitness and well-being. Find empowerment through a greater mind/body connection. Dance experience is not necessary. Dress comfortably, bring a water bottle.

Ballroom Dancing is a wonderful way to socialize, exercise, enjoy music, and learn something new! With practice, we will get to know how to Cha-cha, Foxtrot, Swing and more. For each dance we learn, the first 5 basic steps of that dance are taught.  This class is for singles, couples, beginners or those who need a refresher course.

Want to polish what you’ve mastered in Basic Ballroom? We’ll go further and learn more advanced steps. This session will feature Swing and Rumba.  Feel your confidence grow as you move, step, swirl and spin around the dance floor.

Come indulge design impulses in our Friday night studio art class!  Find plenty of individual instruction and opportunities to try new media and techniques; projects explored may vary with each student's interest. We will draw, paint, sketch, and build dynamic creations. Course fee includes $15.00 supply fee.
