Enjoy Asian brush painting in this workshop with award-winning artist Jean Seelig.  One stroke techniques will be demonstrated and practiced with an emphasis on the relaxing elements of the art form. Motifs will vary with the season. Bring a lunch or plan to enjoy your mid-class break in a neighborhood eatery.  Course fee includes $15 supply fee.

Join artists from our Urban Sketchers gallery exhibit for spontaneous drawing on sites around our Old Town neighborhood. Make quick sketches on the spot and capture a fresh impression of what you see and feel in the moment - be part of the growing international urban sketching community!  Pay $20 in advance here, or $25 at the door.

Dress for the weather.  Bring a sketchbook or drawing pad, pencils, eraser, straight edge, micro pens.  Optional supplies could include colored pencils, pencil sharpener, sable brush, small watercolor tray, water cup, bottled water.

Dance Programs

Join us for the fabulous dance sessions one Sunday each month at the Center for the Arts; or try out a dance class with one of our terrific teachers. Beginners and advanced dancers are all welcome.

Arts on the Go

The Arts on the Go project consists of four self-contained interactive exhibits, each with a distinct theme. Two modules (Habitats and Energy Matters) have been designed for use in elementary schools, and two other modules (PowerUP! and Biomes of the World) have been created for middle school students.
