This class is designed for students (beginner to intermediate) who want to explore the unique principles of watercolor: transparency, speed, spontaneity.   Classes will emphasize and demonstrate brush work, color mixing, wash techniques, value patterns, design layout and composition. We will discover “technical tricks” with different tools: palette knives, butter knife, razor blade, plastic credit cards, and learn to make corrections by lifting out, washing out and sponging out already painted surfaces. Class may be taken multiple times; subject matter will vary among a variety of landscapes, seascapes, florals and still-life. Watercolor paper will be provided by the instructor. Supply list will be provided upon registration. Course Fee includes $12.00 paper supply fee.

The Zentangle® Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Almost anyone can use the Zentangle Method, and the one-stroke-at-a-time process fosters focus and creativity, while providing artistic satisfaction and increased sense of personal well-being. The Zentangle Method is enjoyed all over the world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages. Instruction is provided by a certified Zentangle teacher, and each student will receive the proper tools needed to continue “tangling” at home.

This class is for experienced Zentanglers. More intricate and elaborate tangles will be created on several types of tiles, papers and other surfaces. Basic Zentangle is required for this class. Students should bring a sketchbook from home and their Basic Zentangle supplies (if needed, the teacher will have basic kits available for purchase on the first class day.) Additional supplies covered by supply fee will be sent home with student on the last class day.
Course fee includes tuition and $25 supply fee.
