The Center for the Arts produces drama, visual arts and dance programs for all ages. Our Pied Piper Theatre children’s program is in its 22nd year, while Rooftop Productions, our adult theatre program, is in its 10th year. The Center’s education department teaches classes in the visual arts, some of which include drawing, painting, digital and writing. “Arts on the Go”, now in its 8th year, provides community outreach programs in our local schools, using art projects to enhance scientific learning.
Founded in 1984 by a group of artists and art lovers, the Center for the Arts aims to enrich the quality of life in the Northern Virginia suburbs through performances, gallery exhibits and arts education. A theater, an art gallery, classrooms and administrative offices are located in the Center’s historic home in the Candy Factory in Old Town Manassas.
