The Actor’s Approach is designed for high school, undergraduate, and community theatre actors who are eager to continue their passion for acting into college or area theatre.  Delve into the fundamentals of the most relevant acting methods while integrating the actor’s full instrument – the body, voice and mind.  Hone your skills through theatre games, exploration and scene study to discover what acting techniques work best for you and how to make honest and organic choices in developing a role.

Do you have very busy days, and find yourself daydreaming about what you might create in an art studio in the evenings? Take a full week to explore mixed media and dabble a lot as you go. We’ll work a bit at sculpture, printmaking, drawing and painting. Sounds like a daydream realized? Don’t forget to bring an old shirt because we’re going to get messy.

Camp fee includes $25.00 supply fee.

Parents, come enjoy First Friday dining and shopping specials throughout Historic Manassas while your children dabble in the arts at the Candy Factory! On Friday evenings June 2nd, July 7th & August 4th our downtown district will become an open air festival of dining, music, shopping & more. Enroll your children in two-hours of art & theatre play at the Center, while you join the grown-up fun that awaits around every corner! Pre-registration required.

Dance Programs

Join us for the fabulous dance sessions one Sunday of each month from 4-6pm at the Center for the Arts. Beginners and advanced dancers are all welcome.

The Arts on the Go project consists of three self-contained interactive exhibits, each with a distinct theme.  Two modules (Habitats and Energy Matters) have been designed for use in elementary schools, and a third module (PowerUP!) has been created for middle school students.
