Events & Programs

Founded in 1984 by a group of artists and art lovers, the Center for the Arts aims to enrich the quality of life in the Northern Virginia suburbs through performances, gallery exhibits and arts education. A theater, an art gallery, classrooms and administrative offices are located in the Center’s  home in the historic Candy Factory in Old Town Manassas.

Get a head start on your next audition with this class on "need to know" basics.  What is expected?  How should you prepare?  learn about building a resume, delivering a monologue, or singing a few bars from your favorite song.  Practice cold readings from the script to improve your self-confidence.  This class is a must for those who want to try out for their school musical or for the next season at Pied Piper Theatre.


Ages 11-18
(2 Hours) Aug. 31
Wed. 6:00-8:00pm

Now that you know what to expect at auditions, take the next step and hone your auditioning skills.  This workshop is meant for the actor who has been to several auditions and wants to learn how to leave them remembering you at the next one.  Learn how to prepare for that all important resume and build your portfolio of skills for a winning combination of self-confidence and success!

Dance Programs

Join us for the fabulous dance sessions one Sunday of each month from 4-6pm at the Center for the Arts. Beginners and advanced dancers are all welcome.

The Arts on the Go project consists of three self-contained interactive exhibits, each with a distinct theme.  Two modules (Habitats and Energy Matters) have been designed for use in elementary schools, and a third module (PowerUP!) has been created for middle school students.
