Upcoming Events & Programs

Teen & Adult
Jan. 14 - Feb. 18

Tue. 7:30-8:30pm

Instructor: Cookie Bell
Love soul-filled R&B music and want to learn a popular swing style suited to that vibe? West Coast Swing is the dance you seek --- both sophisticated and energetic, gracefully incorporating "pushes, tucks, whips" with underarm turns. It's danced to slower music and in a linear pattern called a “slot” that requires less dance floor & favors subtle movements---a great step for Blues Dances, parties, or a night on the town! Beginners welcome; experienced dancers will improve styling and learn new moves.

This style of swing dance will have you moving into "Triple Swing", East Coast style, distinguished by its bounce, rock step and Swing hip motion.  Those who have Swing dance experience are welcome to continue in this session as Cookie introduces advanced steps of this upbeat, joyful dance.
