New this summer!  Pied Piper Theatre presents an exciting 3 week intensive production of – ANNIE, Jr. at the Hylton Performing Arts Center’s Gregory Theater.  New York City in the 1930’s sets the stage for a young Annie who has been left on the doorstep of an orphanage and is now seeking her parents.  Billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, and his secretary, Grace Fairchild, help in the search.  Directed by Kelly Glyptis and choreographed by Kimberly Geipel, rehearsals are scheduled Mondays-Fridays 7/31-8/18 from 9am-3pm.  Actors should plan to be available for all rehearsals and for performances on Friday, 8/18 at 7pm and Saturday, 8/19 at 2pm.  Depending on enrollment, some roles may be double cast.  Sign up today to be a part of this award-winning musical based on the Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie.  (Book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Martin Charnin.  Presented on Broadway by Mike Nichols.  Originally produced by Irwin Meyer, Stephen R. The Actor’s Approach is designed for high school, undergraduate, and community theatre actors who are eager to continue their passion for acting into college or area theatre.  Delve into the fundamentals of the most relevant acting methods while integrating the actor’s full instrument – the body, voice and mind.  Hone your skills through theatre games, exploration and scene study to discover what acting techniques work best for you and how to make honest and organic choices in developing a role.
